Tahitian Noni Juice and Mangosteen ORAC Scores gathered from published data. The ORAC analysis provides a measure of the scavenging capacity of antioxidants against the peroxyl radical, which is one of the most common reactive oxygen species (ROS) found in the body.
What is an ORAC score?
A product's ORAC (pronounced "Ore-rack") rating is a standard method of comparing the level of antioxidants present in food products. "ORAC" stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. Oxygen radicals – also called "free radicals" – are molecules in our bodies that are introduced through our environment, our food, and the natural process of living and aging. These molecules cause damage to our bodies through a process called oxidation. The molecules attach themselves to the cells in our body and weaken them, leading to a variety of degenerative or immune-deficient disorders.
A food's ORAC score is a way to measure how many of these oxygen radicals – free radicals – that food can absorb. The higher the score, the more effective that food is at absorbing oxygen radicals and removing them from our bodies, thereby helping our bodies fight disease.
Kyäni Sunrise has an extremely high ORAC score, meäning it's a potent way to remove oxygen radicals from your system, in a natural and easy-to-use form.
*Some scientific evidence suggests that consumption of antioxidant vitamins may reduce the risk of certain forms of cancer. However, FDA does not endorse this claim because this evidence is limited and not conclusive.
